AN investigation has been launched after a woman was sexually assaulted following the Foo Fighters concert in a city park.

The 32-year-old concert-goer was subjected to the sex attack at the Glasgow Summer Sessions event in Bellahouston Park at around midnight on Saturday, August 17.

Police Scotland confirmed that their investigation into the incident is continuing.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Enquiries continue following a report of a 32-year-old woman having been sexually assaulted whilst attending an event in Bellahouston Park at around midnight on Saturday, August 17."

US rockers Foo Fighters played to a sell-out crowd at the event after The Cure on Friday night.

A Summer Sessions spokeswoman said: “We have been made aware of an incident which took place on the edge of Bellahouston Park following the event and will assist Police Scotland in their enquiries should it be required.”

We reported earlier this month that police are still hunting for men responsible for a sex attack on a woman at the city's TRNSMT music festival almost a month ago.

A 32-year-old was also sexually assaulted at the Glasgow Green at around 10pm on July 12 when headliner Stormzy took to the stage.

Police said it was too early to say whether the incidents were connected.
