PLANS to redevelop Dumbarton’s oldest building have been given the green light.
At a meeting of the infrastructure, regeneration and economic development committee last week, £5 million proposals to turn Glencairn House into the town’s new library, and changing up the current library into a public archive.
Councillor Iain McLaren, the convener of the committee, said: “I am delighted that this project has been approved. A lot of time has been spent behind the scenes to ensure that the proposals were the right ones for both Glencairn House and for the existing library at Strathleven Place.”
