Fun and games will be the order of the day when a local organisation holds its summer fair this weekend - and you are all invited.

Vale of Leven Autism and Asperger’s Forum, which is based at the West of Scotland Autism Centre on Station Street in Renton, are hosting the event from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, August 31.

The fair promises something for all the family with face painting, a bouncy castle, balloon modelling, the opportunity to get glitter hair strands, the chance to meet their new mascot, a tombola, raffle, candy floss machine, home-baking, hot dogs, soup and more.

Some of the stalls confirmed for the event include: The Wax Garden, Kirsty’s Krafty Kreations, Dens Cosmetics & Creams (Body Shop), Something Tasteful, Goosey Gifts, Creative crafts and cakes, Beth’s Glitter Bowtique, Scarlett’s Face Painting and Carol kbh Sand Art.

VOLAAF will also be revealing the name of their mascot on Saturday as well. The organisation are currently asking for residents’ help in coming up with the new moniker and to offer your suggestions all you have to do is like their Facebook page, share the post about the competition and comment with your name. Those who do so will be in with a chance of winning a top prize - an Amazon Echo Dot.

Suzanne Gillies, Chairperson of VOLAAF, said: "I am always amazed at the support we receive from the local community for our fundraising events. Come down on Saturday where there is plenty for the kids to do including our bouncy castle, face painting, balloon modelling, candy floss machine and you’ll get to meet our new mascot.

"We are revealing the name on Saturday after a month long Facebook competition. There’s still time to send us your name entry and you could be in with a chance of winning an Amazon Echo Dot. Hope to see you all there."
