A THUG who terrorised his former partner at a house in Rosneath has been hit with a four-month home detention curfew – and warned he'll be jailed if he doesn't comply.

Kyle McCreadie appeared in court on Wednesday, August 28 for a review of his progress on a ‘community payback order’ (CPO) imposed after he was convicted of acting in a threatening or abusive manner towards the victim during the incident on December 12 last year at a house in Silverhills in the village.

McCreadie, 24, who was listed in court papers as a resident of Bryson Street in the Faifley area of Clydebank, shouted, swore, threatened both his ex and her mother with violence, repeatedly phoned his former partner and left her in a state of fear and alarm.

In February, McCreadie was put under the supervision of social workers, and was ordered to take part in a West Dunbartonshire Council programme to curb domestic offenders’ abusive behaviour and to do unpaid work in the community.

At a review of his progress last week at Dumbarton Sheriff Court, Sheriff Maxwell Hendry said he was running out of patience with McCreadie.

He told him there would be “no last, last, last chance”.

Sheriff Hendry withdrew the CPO requirement for 175 hours of unpaid work and imposed a four-month restriction of liberty order.

McCreadie will be electronically tagged to ensure he stays at home from 7pm to 7am. A further review of his case will be heard on October 16.
