A local autism charity has revealed the name of their new mascot - Otis.
Vale of Leven Autism & Asperger’s Forum (VOLAAF) introduced the cuddly bear at their recent summer fare in Renton.
The name was suggested by Kayleigh Russell, who chose the name Otis as it means ‘autism’ in Haitian.
Otis was then paraded in front of guests at the event who also enjoyed a bouncy castle, candy floss machine, balloon modelling, face painter and games.
Around 200 people attended, raising an impressive £1,739 for the charity.
Suzanne Gillies, VOLAFF chairwoman, said: “I’d just like to thank the community for coming out once again and supporting us. Without their continued help and support we wouldn’t be where we are now. The sun even made an appearance and everyone had a fantastic day. Thank you.”
