Glorious weather made for an amazing weekend in the outdoors for the members of St Patrick’s Dumbarton Youth Club.

The group travelled to Ardoch, Gartocharn, and took part in a range of both indoor and outdoor pursuits.

Jackie Mackay, youth club leader, said: “Ardoch was a fantastic experience for the children and the group were able to come together for a weekend of fun and friendship.

“They had the opportunity in the workshop sessions to learn a bit more about life experience and how to put what they have learnt into action.”

Jackie thanked the Ardoch Foundation for the weekend, their great facilities and hospitality, and also the National Lottery Community Fund who have helped the youth club with previous ventures.

She added: “As usual, Ardoch has provided us with such amazing hospitality and environment for us to work together with the children in the activities and to see them working together so well.”

Peter Cockill, director and estate manager of Ardoch Management Company, said: “Great to see the P6 and P7 youth club members full of energy, enjoying the outdoors to the maximum, but equally involved in the classroom activities”.
