Dumbarton MSP Jackie Baillie took part in a Scottish Parliament debate to celebrate the work of Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).

Over the past 25 years, CHAS have been supporting babies, children and young people with end-of-life care, emotional and physical therapy and education about their life-shortening illnesses.

The MSP spoke about the ‘immeasurable’ positive impact that Robin House in Balloch has on families who are negotiating an incredibly difficult time. She also took the opportunity to thank all of the volunteers, staff and trustees at Robin House for the work that they do.

Jackie added: “I know that the work that [CHAS] do and the support that they provide to families during what is an incredibly difficult time is immeasurable.

“I hope that CHAS continue to receive the support that they need to keep doing the work that they do for families in Scotland for years to come.”

Maria McGill, chief executive of CHAS, said: “It is wonderful to have the support of so many MSPs who genuinely want to help and support those families.”
