Scotland’s leading armed forces charity is searching for a new volunteer to lead the fundraising push in Dumbarton.

Poppyscotland are looking for a supermarket organiser (SO) to support volunteer collectors to make the poppy accessible to everyone that visits Morrisons in Dumbarton.

Gordon Michie, head of fundraising for Poppyscotland, said: “We’re looking for individuals, businesses, groups of friends, or community organisations that have good organisational skills to step forward to lead this year’s appeal at the Dumbarton Morrisons.

Last year, more than £1,000 was raised in the store, but, without your help, we will struggle to collect even a fraction of that amount and this will have a profoundly detrimental impact on the people we support.

“We know that with your support, a SO has the potential to build collection totals to more than £300 per day.”
