An ALEXANDRIA salon have a special Hallowe’en treat for the kids in Robin House.

Sleek and Unique are offering discounted trims and nail painting in return for donations of sweets to their gift box for CHAS in Balloch.

They will donate the Hallowe’en box to Robin House on October 31.

Paul Haggerty, who owns the salon with partner Charlene Mooney, is a huge supporter of the charity.

He told the Reporter: “We chose CHAS because it’s a local charity that does an amazing job.

“We have friends who work in Robin House and know of children in care in there.”

Paul’s desire to help this cause in particular comes from a closeness to a specific condition that CHAS helps with.

Sleek and Unique is a campaigner for ROHHAD (rapid-onset obesity with hypothalamic dysfunction) and one of the salon’s dear friends unfortunately lives with the rare, life-threatening syndrome.

Paul said: “Without Robin House and CHAS they wouldn’t have the comforts that they can provide.

“We know that the staff work hard all year so maybe miss out on taking their own kids trick or treating.

“The children in Robin House unfortunately can’t make it out trick or treating so we thought we would get the community together and take their treats to them.”
