ST MARY’S Primary School celebrated Maths Week by taking part in different challenges and competitions - all planned to develop pupils’ love of maths.
Senior pupils visited The Croft sheltered housing complex, and played a variety of numeracy based board games with some of the residents, who all had a great time taking part.
Many of the younger pupils created a number themed poster or hat as part of their homework challenges, and also took part in a Family Maths Trail where they answered questions based on numbers around their local community.
Some parents also popped in to their child’s class to talk about the value of maths as an essential skill within their different careers.
