AROUND £25,000 worth of heroin has been seized from a car in Alexandria.

A Ford Fiesta was stopped in the Redburn area following a brief police pursuit by road policing officers at around 9.05pm on Saturday, October 19.

Officers said that a quantity of heroin with an estimated value of £25,000 was recovered.

A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the drugs recovery.

He was due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court today.
