The community of Gartocharn Primary School and nursery are bidding farewell to their beloved school cook.
Mairi Law has been with them for 36 years and will now retire.
She has cooked almost 500,000 fabulous plates of food for the children.
A spokesperson for the school said: “Mairi has been an outstanding cook, always willing to go above and beyond.
“Her food was loved by the children and the number of empty plates each day was a testament to her cooking.
“Her chocolate pudding had almost legendary status.
“The staff, pupils and families in Gartocharn will greatly miss Mairi and we wish her all the best in her retirement.
“As long as she sends in some of her scones every now and again.”
