A MAN who drove while he was already banned from the roads has been put under an 18-week curfew.
At Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week, Robert Wilson was ordered to stay at home from 7pm to 7am daily and also disqualified for another 12 months.
Wilson, of Glen Garry Close, Dumbarton, pleaded guilty to the offence at his first appearance at court.
The 44-year-old had been caught by police, who knew he was banned, on October 2 driving in his home street and at Great Western Retail Park in Glasgow. He was on bail at the time from Glasgow Sheriff Court and also had no insurance.
His defence solicitor said it was a separate incident that was a “catalyst” for the driving offence.
He added that it was a “stupid decision he took on the day in question”.
Sheriff Frances McCartney told Wilson: "Make sure this is the last time you appear before the court."
