A UK government agency has launched an investigation following an incident at a quarry in Dumbarton.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE), are aware of the situation that reportedly took place on Tuesday, October 22.
It has been reported a rock face collapsed in a dangerous fashion at the William Thompson and Son (Dumbarton) Ltd. site.
A spokesperson for the Health and Safety Executive said: "HSE is aware of the incident and is investigating."
The HSE is responsible for the encouragement, regulation and enforcement of workplace health, safety and welfare in the UK.
William Thompson and Son did not respond to our request for a comment.
