The Maid of the Loch has welcomed the public aboard to hear the engines roar for the first time in more than 38 years.
The vessel, which is anchored at Balloch Pier, fired up the engines for a special event during the last two weekends.
John Beveridge, chairman of the Loch Lomond Steamship Company, had invited guests to “listen to the engine room machinery, smell the oil, see the steam, and hear the splash of the paddles”.
He added that seeing the vessel in all of her former glory is an “amazing experience”.
The 66-year-old paddle steamer has undergone a £1.1million restoration thanks to grants from several organisations, including from the Scottish Government and the Hugh Fraser Foundation.
