A team from Dumbarton Day Centre has emerged as the overall winner from West Dunbartonshire at ceremony celebrating successful health projects.
Dumbarton Day Centre took centre stage after beating of stiff competition from across the area in the ceremony run by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
The centre was praised at the event, in Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow, for its exceptional service to people with a learning disability.
Around 400 people at the ceremony heard how the team have been innovative in their approach, looking at new and exciting opportunities for individual service users.
They have introduced the 'conversation café' style approach to getting feedback from users by asking what improvements they can make.
Jacqui Carson, service manager, West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership, nominated the team.
She said: “The team worked together to overcome so many challenges and all the while continued to provide an exceptional service.
“I am delighted they won the ‘Our Culture’ award in the West Dunbartonshire Local Staff Awards.
"They deserve to be recognised for the incredible work they do for local people in West Dunbartonshire.”
