Kids at Aitkenbar Primary School raised cash for Children in Need by putting on a talent show.

The pupils fundraised through singing, dancing, magic as well as stand-up comedy among other acts.

The show was introduced by Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield, played by P7 pupils Carly Loen and Hayden Thomas.

Other kids dressed up as famous talent show judges to preside over the acts.  Ruby Dickson, P4, did a fantastic Amanda Holden while Scott Cross, P6, did his best Simon Cowell impression.

Brandon Chalmers of P7 did Little Britain’s David Walliams and Eilidh Hawkins of P5 played X Factor’s Nicole Scherzinger.

The audience enjoyed a great afternoon’s entertainment and £450 was raised for charity. Christine Hutchison, head teacher, was extremely please by her pupils’ efforts.

She said: “The children were fantastic and put on a wonderful show to a packed hall.”

This year, Children in Need raised more than £47 million for disadvantaged children and young people. Stars from shows including Strictly Come Dancing, Star Wars, Doctor Who and Eastenders leant a hand on Friday, November 15.
