Loch Lomond Shores has unveiled a new donation point aimed at helping local families experiencing poverty this Christmas.
The donation point is located in the main foyer outside Jenners and will accept gifts, non-perishable foods, nappies, selection boxes and toiletries which will then be distributed to local families via West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare.
Clair Coyle, from the foodshare, said: “It’s great that they contacted us and offered to provide this donation point. We’re really hoping for lots of donations this year so we can help as many people as possible.”
The Shores approached the charity about hosting the donation point.
Audrey Calder, from Loch Lomond Shores, said: “We’re delighted to host the donation point and very much hope that it encourages customers, businesses and staff alike to donate and make Christmas a bit brighter for those local families who are struggling to put food on the table, let along give gifts this Christmas.”
