One of the last remanding banks in Dumbarton town centre is set to close it's doors for good.

The TSB on High Street will be shut in July.

It is one of 82 which will be closed in 2020.

The move follows other recent branch closures in the area, including the RBS in Alexandria and Barclays in Dumbarton.

After July, just three banks will remain in Dumbarton - RBS, Clydesdale and Bank of Scotland - all of which are also on High Street.

The TSB branch in Alexandria is believed to be unaffected by the announcement.

Earlier this week, the TSB warned there would be closures as part of a plan by new chief executive Debbie Crosbie to make £100m of cost cuts by 2022.

The bank said that 370 jobs across the UK would be hit by the closures.

Robin Bulloch, customer banking director at TSB, said: "We will fully support customers through this transition.
"We realise this is difficult news for our branch partners and will do everything to support those affected to offer voluntary redundancies and redeploy as many people as we can to other roles."
