Yesterday's Key to the City winner was Sean, a 'young-looking' 40 year old (his words) from Ruckhill.

"I was absolutely chuffed to bits to win" he told The Glasgow Times.

"I obviously read the paper every day, and have been watching the competition for the last few days. I've been able to guess the last few days, although I was a wee bit off on Thursday, but I thought I had a good idea from the clues that I knew where the girls would be".

Sean had followed the competition throughout the city, as it went from Anniesland to the East End, and then today in Maryhill.

"I thought that everybody and their dug would be there today, because to me it seemed quite obvious that the girls would be outside the Burgh Halls, but I think that might be just because I know the area well."

Just in time for Christmas, Sean is going to spend the £500 that he won on his children, Summer, 13 and Sean, 9.

"We've decided to split it in the middle between the children and they were so pleased to hear it.

"I want them to know that I love them, and their mother and I are proud o them, and want them to have a Merry Christmas".

Sean himself is easily pleased. "I'm just happy to have the key to the door" Sean joked. "If anyone wants a Key to the North, they know where to find me".
