A MAN with 103 charges and 80 court appearances will be assessed for getting drug treatment.
Duncan McDiarmid, of Redburn Estate, Bonhill, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week on charges of stealing cosmetics from the Lloyds Chemist on High Street, Dumbarton.
The 40-year-old pleaded guilty in November. The value of the goods taken on July 13 this year was £250 and there was full recovery. He was on bail at the time.
Sheriff Maxwell Hendry said McDiarmid was not restricting himself to what he should be taken.
He then noted the total number of charges and court appearances in his background.
Sheriff Hendry said: "I would like to see you deal with the drug problem."
McDiarmid will be assessed for suitability for a drug treatment and testing order (DTTO) and return to court on January 7, 2020.
