A new house could be built on a site where workers from the former Dillichip Dye Works in Bonhill used to live.
Plans have been submitted to West Dunbartonsire Council to construct a single home with garden at Dillichip
Loan.
The application - number DC19/169 - is set to go in front of the council's planning committee on January 22.
Planners have received objections from locals, including from Bonhill and Dalmonach Community Council, but the recommendation is that permission be granted.
Objectors have raised issues including the impact on road users and wildlife, as well as ownership of the access road.
The site itself is brownfield and historic records show that it previously accommodated a group of tenement buildings
which provided accommodation for workers of the former dye works factory, which was located close to the site.
Since they were demolished however, the area had laid vacant and undeveloped for a number of years.
