A MAN on trial for rape claimed he struggled to have sex due to taking steroids.
Steven Ordish denied attacking a 36 year-old woman he had met on a dating site.
The 41-year-old today told jurors at the High Court in Glasgow he did not have a sexual relationship with her.
Mr Ordish said: "I was working two jobs and organising things as well as doing Thai boxing at the time.
“I found it hard to (have sex) as I was taking steroids. I was also under pressure at my job.”
Mr Ordish told his advocate Louise Arrol the steroids had been purchased online.
The ex-taxi driver is charged with raping the woman in Clydebank.
Mr Ordish is further accused of raping a 30-year-old in the town as well as in Balloch.
The charges span between 2013 and 2018.
The accused told the trial any sexual relationship with the 30-year-old was "consensual".
Ms Arrol said: “She says that you had sex with her while she was asleep.”
Mr Ordish replied: “That’s incorrect.”
He claimed he did not know about the rape allegations until he was interviewed by police.
Ordish denies the claims.
The trial, before Judge Johanna Johnston QC, continues.
