Strong winds and rain is expected to batter Dumbarton and the Vale over the weekend as Storm Ciara hits the west coast of Scotland.
The Met Office has issued a two-day yellow weather warning.
It is expected that very strong winds are to reach the country by 6pm on Saturday, February 8 and continue throughout Sunday, February 9.
Gusts of 50-60mph are likely across many inland areas, and gusts could reach up to 80mph around some exposed coasts and hills, especially in the north and west. Heavy rain is also expected.
The storm began as cold Arctic winds above Canada and is accelerating over the Atlantic.
Cold air will be dragged across the UK as Storm Ciara passes before pummelling the country with hail and snowstorms. Such winds can cause damages to buildings, as well as power cuts.
Winds of such fortitude also have the potential to produce disruption to transport, especially along the coast. Such impact could result in roads having to close and therefore readers must consider when planning for their weekend.
After the storm passes, conditions are expected to remain unsettled over the next week, with heavy wintry showers and a drop of temperature looking to affect the area.
