Body recovered from River Leven confirmed as Karen Murphy
A BODY that was recovered from the River Leven has been confirmed as missing woman Karen Murphy.
The 53-year-old was last seen on Monday, January 13.
Police say formal identification has taken place and Ms Murphy’s family have been informed.
Her body was pulled from the river, near Dumbarton, by police divers on Sunday, February 9.
Inspector Graeme Hogg from Dumbarton Police Station said: "Our thoughts continue to be with Karen's family and friends as they come to terms with this news and we have officers providing them with assistance at this difficult time.
"There are no apparent suspicious circumstances surrounding her death and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal."
