AN 81-year-old couple have been the victims of daylight theft after bogus callers stole money from their Dumbarton home.
According to Police Scotland, two male suspects made off with the cash after turning up at the elderly couple’s house in Clyde Court, West Bridgend, where they then pretended to be calling due to a faulty electrical wire.
The suspects were allowed into the couple’s home by the male victim but after being asked for identification by the woman, they left.
It was only after the suspects had left, the octogenarian realised money had been taken from her handbag. The couple then contacted the cops.
