A PEDESTRIAN was hurt in a hit and run in the shared space area of Bournemouth's Horseshoe Common this afternoon.
Three police cars and an ambulance were called to the scene after a crash involving a man and a white van.
Police say the van driver failed to stop.
The extent of the pedestrian's injuries is not yet known.
An official from Dorset Police said: "We were called at 1.51pm to a report of a collision between a pedestrian and a van in Old Christchurch Road.
"It is reported the white van failed to stop at the scene.
"Ambulance are also in attendance and the extent of any injuries is unknown at this stage."
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 1.45pm about a collision reportedly involving a pedestrian and a van on Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth.
"We are treating one patient at the scene."
