Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce has launched a new business campaign to step its activities up amid the pandemic.

The chamber has increased its support for local businesses through the development of an online “business hub” to share the latest information and opportunities.

The organisation also hosted it first “virtual” events as part of the #TogetherForBusiness campaign, including a weekly experts forum and daily networking drop-in session.

Damon Scott, chief executive of Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “This is the toughest time our business community has faced in a generation with a huge amount of uncertainty, ongoing operational challenges and a sea of information to make sense of. All of this is happening against the backdrop of increasing isolation.

“We have established #TogetherForBusiness in response to this to try and help make sense of the situation and to provide a support network and to maintain the connectivity and wonderful sense of community we already have within our business network.

"We are already seeing an amazing response from our members in the face of adversity with our pool of “Chamber Champions” and “Chamber Experts” offering their time and support to other businesses for free. This additional resource is a lifeline for some business to help support them through this difficult time.

“At this time, we make no distinction between a member or non-member business looking for our support. To get our business and communities through this crisis will mean a partnership approach and there is no wrong door to helping a business access the support they need, or to see them survive.”
