A COMPANY in Old Kilpatrick has donated supplies to help care home staff and residents prevent spreading – or catching – coronavirus.

Subsea 7 handed more than 100 face masks to Erskine Proud to Care to be used in their homes.

Liam Macintyre, director of the company, said: “We are incredibly thankful and proud of everything key workers in the health and social care systems are doing in response to the COVID-19 crisis.

“The Subsea 7 team wanted to find a way to help and keep key workers safe and we thought about Erskine Proud To Care across the river from us.

“We hope this donation of face masks will make a big difference to vulnerable veterans and carers in our local community.”

Derek Barron, director of care at Erskine, added: “We are delighted to get this support from a local business.

“This is another example of our staff being recognised as front line staff who equally need access to appropriate PPE. A huge thanks to Liam and Subsea 7 for their support, it is very much appreciated.”
