COPS have found cannabis plants worth around £203,400 following a drugs raid in Dumbarton.

A woman, aged 45, has been arrested and charged in connection with the find.

Police officers from Argyll and West Dunbartonshire Serious and Organised Crime Team searched a house in Cardross Road at around 8.20pm on Wednesday, May 6.

The 45-year-old is expected to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday, May 11. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Police chiefs say they will still continue to target drug criminals during the lockdown.

Detective Chief Inspector Ogilvie Ross, from Dumbarton Police Station, said: "This is the second recent major recovery in the division.

"Last week, two men, aged 31 and 29 years, were arrested following the recovery of 500 cannabis plants with an estimated value of £300,000 were recovered from an industrial unit in Glasgow Road, Clydebank.

"Our officers will continue to target anyone involved the sale and supply of controlled drugs even during the current Covid-19 restrictions."
