POLICE in Helensburgh have charged six people with driving without insurance – while a number of tickets have also been issued as officers continue to target known hotspots for speeding.
Two men, aged 26 and 30, from Glasgow, were reported to the procurator fiscal for allegedly driving at 51mph in a 30mph area in separate incidents at Ballyhennan Crescent in Tarbet.
A further six people have been charged with reportedly driving without insurance and their vehicles have been seized.
Meanwhile a 28-year-old man from Glasgow, who was charged with driving without insurance following a routine vehicle stop on the A83 in Tarbet, is also facing alleged drug driving charges.

He was pulled over at Ballyhennan Crescent on Thursday, May 14 and allegedly found to be in possession of a personal amount of cannabis.
Police say the driver was clearly impaired and he was arrested after being found to be under the influence of controlled drugs.
He was taken to Clydebank police office where a blood sample was taken and sent for analysis pending a report to the procurator fiscal.
