COPS on patrol in Clydebank stopped a man who was seen staggering and officers allegedly found him in possession of a controlled drug.
Police officers discovered the 33-year-old at Kirkoswald Drive, at around 9pm on May 21.
He was detained, searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and reportedly found to be carrying a “large quantity” of Valium tablets.
He is now subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.
On the same street, 45 minutes later, another man was spotted walking along the pavement drinking alcohol.
Police stopped to speak with him but he allegedly became abusive before attempting to assault the cops.

He was arrested, taken to Clydebank police station and is due to appear in court.
