ALMOST all of West Dunbartonshire’s school-aged children engaged in online learning since schools closed their doors in March, new figures have revealed.
The council says 95 per cent of pupils have engaged in online learning, and that more than 75 per cent of pupils have completed work online every week.
More than 40,000 hours of video conferences also took place to support online learning and staff meetings.
Young students are also said to have visited the OurCloud Virtual learning website, where pupils and families can access a range of home learning educational challenges, more than 60,000 last week.
Councillor Karen Conaghan, convener of educational services, said: “It is very encouraging to see the numbers of pupils engaging in online learning and this is testament to our dedicated teaching staff who have provided inspiring work for pupils to complete at home.
“I know how hard both parents and pupils have worked since schools closed in March and these figures represent their commitment to continue learning.”
