ALEXANDRIA’s own singing hopeful Charlie McFarlane has been knocked out of the The Voice Australia.
Charlie, who moved to Australia from West Dunbartonshire, impressed judges Boy George and Kelly Rowland in the opening blind auditions, and was put through into the “Battles” stage of the popular TV show.
Up against twins ‘Bo’Ness’, Charlie gave a fantastic performance of ‘Circles’ by Post Malone, but it wasn’t to be on the night – with Bo’Ness getting the nod from the judges to advance into the next round.
On his Facebook page, Charlie wrote: “What an experience, always watched this show and hoped one day I'd have my chance. It's been a dream that I didn't want to wake up from. Although I'm gutted about the result, it was a pleasure to share the stage with these two boys tonight and I've had the best time of my life on the show.
“The support I've had has been incredible and I'm so grateful to everyone. Best of luck to the rest of the artists on the show.”
