FILM fans eagerly awaiting the re-opening of cinemas after lockdown will be able to enjoy a classic movie outdoors after a series of drive-in summer screenings were announced.

Events company itison have revealed a schedule of blockbuster hits at Loch Lomond Shores, to take place between July 29 and August 4.

The line-up of shows includes 80s and 90s feelgood favourites such as Dirt Dancing, Jurassic Park and Back to the Future, with tickets on sale at 10am on Tuesday, June 30.

The socially distanced event is set to sell-out fast with tickets costing £32 per car.

“Our world-class events team are working behind the scenes on our first ever socially distanced Drive In and one that is fun and feel good, because everyone needs a smile on their face right now!”

The full list of movies to be shown includes musicals to sing along to: Mamma Mia!, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Dirty Dancing, plus 80s and 90s classics to make you feel good: Jurassic Park, Mrs Doubtfire, E.T., The Goonies, Back to the Future, Back to the Future II, Back to the Future III, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Groundhog Day, and Stand by Me, and end of the world blockbusters: Independence Day, Armageddon, The Incredibles, The Matrix, 28 Days Later, and Joker.
