A BUS operator is preparing for a major increase in service levels in line with the latest easing of Scotland’s lockdown restrictions.
First Bus services have been significantly cut back to take account of low passenger numbers since March – but on June 28, around 75 per cent of services on the pre-lockdown timetable were resumed.
Destination displays on the front of buses have been updated to show a ‘Bus Full’ message when the maximum capacity under social distancing has been reached.
Dumbarton area service changes are as follows: 1/1A/1B (Glasgow-Clydebank-Dumbarton-Balloch/Helensburgh) – every 30 mins; 1E (Glasgow-Balloch, peak hours only) – remains suspended; 206 (Westcliff-Dumbarton-Alexandria-Haldane) – every 30 mins Mon-Sat, normal Sun timetable; 208 (Silverton-Dumbarton-Brucehill) – remains suspended.
