POLICE Scotland are appealing for information following an incident of wilful fire-raising in Alexandria.
The incident, which occurred around 11.30pm on Thursday, July 16 at a business premises on North Street, was attended by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and safely extinguished and there were no injuries.
Detective Constable Ross Kelly, of Clydebank CID, said: “We believe this to be a targeted incident and are treating the fire as deliberate.
“Thankfully nobody has been injured and we are looking to identify those involved in this reckless act.
“We are looking to speak to anyone who has any information or noticed anyone acting suspicious in the area to get in contact with police.
“I would also appeal to anyone that has any dashcam or CCTV footage of the area to speak to officers.
“Police can be contacted on 101 quoting incident number 0034 of Friday, 17 July, 2020.”
