A GROUP of under-age drinkers at a railway station had their booze stripped off them by cops earlier today.
Police in Balloch seized the alcohol at a train station as they push to stop anti-social behaviour and drinking in public.
The booze haul was recovered from groups of youngsters as the weather heated up on Friday with officers patrolling the area throughout the day.
A statement on the Argyll and West Dunbartonshire Police Division Facebook page read: “This photo shows just one of many alcohol seizures from groups of underage young people earlier today.
"We will continue to patrol the area throughout the course of the day and have extra officers on foot and mobile patrol.
"Members of the public are encouraged to report any incidents to police by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency. Anyone with information on those purchasing alcohol on behalf of young people or on premises selling to underage youths is encouraged to contact police by calling 101 or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
