TWO motorists were allegedly clocked doing almost double the speed limit on a main road near Dumbarton.
A 34-year-old woman from Glasgow was reportedly detected driving a Citroen C4 at 53 miles per hour on the A814 through the centre of Cardross – a stretch which has a speed limit of just 30mph – on Friday, July 31.
And shortly before 6am on Tuesday, August 4, a 57-year-old man from Helensburgh was allegedly spotted doing 51mph while driving a Kia Optima along the same stretch of the A814.
In a separate incident, a 56-year-old man from Giffnock was reportedly clocked driving a Renault Kadjar at 53mph in the 30mph zone on the A83 in Tarbet.
All three drivers are the subject of reports to the procurator fiscal.
