TWO teenage boys were set upon as they walked along a busy Dumbarton street.

The boys, aged 15 and 16, were on a footpath near Dumbarton East railway station on Glasgow Road when they were attacked at around 9.30pm on Friday, September 11.

One of the boys was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be treated for a serious head injury.

The suspects are described as males, wearing dark hoodies or jackets. One was wearing a navy blue Lacoste tracksuit, and all had masks on.

Detective Constable Susanne Church from Clydebank CID said: “We are appealing for the public’s help in tracing those responsible for this attack.

“A lady stepped in to help the boys and stopped the assault.

"We ask her, and anyone else who saw what happened, to contact us via 101 quoting incident 3869 of September 11, 2020.”
