In a online post WDC Libaries said: “Our school libraries provide a positive and nurturing experience for the young people of West Dunbartonshire. They are safe, accepting, and open spaces where everyone is welcome. They have excellent information on dealing with mental health, and fabulous fiction books that allow the reader to look at their own issues in an informal and comfortable way. But more than that, they are run by people who care about the young people they serve, and who always have time for a chat. Our school library staff will be doing everything they can to help strengthen and empower our young people.”
