The steam train featured in the Harry Potter film series is due to pass through West Dunbartonshire train stations on Monday.

The locomotive and carriages from the ‘Jacobite’ train are due to travel south at the end of their summer season taking passengers along the scenic West Highland rail line between Fort William and Mallaig.

And Dumbarton and the Vale stations Cardross, Dalreoch, Dumbarton Central, Dumbarton East, Bowling and Kilpatrick will welcome the famous train on its journey.

The train starred as the Hogwarts Express in several instalments of the famous fantasy film series, with sequences filmed at the Glenfinnan Viaduct at the head of Loch Shiel.

It is due to pass through the area at the following times on Monday:
