Former Labour MSP Bailie Anne McTaggart has announced she will run to be the SNP candidate for the Scottish Parliament seat of Clydebank and Milngavie.
Bailie McTaggart was previously a list Scottish Labour Party MSP for the Glasgow region from 2011 to 2016, before being elected as a Labour Councillor for Anniesland in 2017. She then switched parties, joining the SNP council group in November 2019.

The 50-year-old will now feature alongside four other SNP candidates, in an all-woman lineup, including Councillor Marie McNair, Roza Salih, Debra Torrance and Kate Waddell.
Announcing her bid on Tuesday, she wrote on her new Facebook page: “I bring a weatlh (sic) of expereince (sic) and understanding to this role, both in my professional life working intially (sic) in Faifley to being an MSPand (sic) having the legislative expereince (sic) to get working on day 1 for our communities.”
