THE bi-annual Cardross Beach clean was a success last weekend as local residents headed to the shore to do their bit for the community.
Organised by Bob Murray of Cardross Community Council, volunteers headed outdoors to pick litter from the area on Saturday, October 17.
Mr Murray told the Reporter: “The Cardross Beach Clean on Saturday was a huge success.
“Around 30 volunteers came along, including parents with young children all keen to do their bit.
“Rubbish bags, gloves and hand sanitiser were made available and people knew how to maintain the regulatory two-metre space.
“Cardross Community Council would like to thank all the volunteers who came out to clean the beach. Everyone was so enthusiastic and cheerful while picking it all up.
“We would also like to thank Craig Callaghan of Argyll & Bute Council for his help in providing the necessary bags and gloves and for arranging to uplift the rubbish we collected.”
