POLICE are appealing for information from the public after a break-in at a shop in Dumbarton at the weekend.

Tobacco and a four-figure sum in cash were stolen after entry was forced to the USave store in Brucehill Road between 2am and 4am on Sunday, October 25.

Detective Constable Robert Struthers of Clydebank CID said: “This incident has had a significant financial impact on a local business.

"We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time who observed anything suspicious, or any vehicles in the area, to contact police.

“Likewise, anyone who has dashcam or private CCTV footage I would urge you contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 0919 of October 25.
