Our latest Picture of the Week was sent in by Jaclyn Thorpe of a gorgeous robin puffing its chest out on a cold autumnal morning beside a river in Dumbarton and the Vale.
The red-breasted birds start to make an appearance in the winter months – in real life as well as on a million Christmas cards.
