PUPILS and staff at St Martin’s Primary got into the Hallowe’en spirit with some fantastic fancy dress outfits.

Comic book superheroes, stars of the small and big screen, and some wild and wonderful animals rubbed shoulders with an array of scary characters straight out of the spookiest of cemeteries as the Renton school set aside its usual lessons, and the worries of the real world, for a little while and got stuck into the spirit of the season.

Kids from P1 to P7 joined in the fun with a super selection of crazy costumes and took part in a series of fun games - even making the most of the sunshine to take their activities outdoors.

A school spokesperson said afterwards: “The staff wanted to make the day as fun as possible so we organised Hallowe’en games, a Halloween outdoor hunt and a movie afternoon.

“It was certainly a Halloween to remember!”
