CONTACT tracing is being carried out after a number of Covid-19 cases were reported linked to the Arnold Clark dealership in Dumbarton.

The front office at the Milton Brae premises remains open with the company's click and collect service continuing to operate.

NHS Test and Protect staff are currently carrying out contact tracing to control the spread of the virus.

An NHS spokesperson said: “To respect and maintain patient confidentiality, no further details will be released but we can confirm affected individuals are currently self-isolating and being given appropriate support and advice.”

An Arnold Clark spokesperson said: "Our robust cleaning procedures mean that as soon as we’re aware of a positive case of Covid-19, a thorough deep clean of the site is arranged to ensure that it remains a safe environment for both our customers and employees.

"While we do not comment on personal information relating to any of our employees, our safety and hygiene measures, including one-way walkways, desk screens, face coverings and sanitisation stations remain in place at all of our sites, with extensive training on these measures available to all staff.

"During the increased restrictions in the central belt, our servicing department continues to operate as an essential service, and customers, if they choose to, can safely purchase a vehicle via our Click & Collect service."
