AS dreary as 2020 was for most of us, Dumbarton’s iconic scenery still holds strong - as seen in the attached photos sent in by our readers.

With the coronavirus pandemic giving locals more time to spend time in the great outdoors, and the emergence of fantastic quality cameras on run-of-the-mill smartphones, we have been spoiled with the amount of great photos that we have seen of the area over the past year.

From the vibrant and famous Rock sitting in front of a blue sky, mirrored below by the waters of the Clyde, to the near-luminous colours of the leaves on the trees found in our many parks, to the pink and purple of sundown over Loch Lomond on a late summer’s night - there has been no shortage of pictures to admire and appreciate.

The Reporter would like to thank our readers for the photographs shared with us, and if you’d like your photo to be included in future editions of the newspaper and online, please join our Facebook group Dumbarton and the Vale Camera Club.
