FOOTAGE by a local drone enthusiast has revelead Dumbarton in ways unseen before.

The short film, shot by Glasgow Urban Wildlife and described as "an early morning flight in the fog along the River Leven in Dumbarton", takes the audience soaring below and above the clouds, with a bird's eye view of the River Leven rising up and away to local landmarks including Dumbarton Rock.

At the time drone technology was considerably more expensive, and less accessible, than it is now, making the spectacular scenes all the more eye-catching.

YouTube commenters were wowed by the footage when it was first posted back in 2016, with one user saying: "Looked awesome up top, great footage."

Another added: "Top notch flight, loved going through the mist, brilliant views, well done my man. Thumbs up."
